LearningMate announces a new partnership with Google Cloud to deliver next-generation learning using AI

London, UK – LearningMate, a leading education technology company, recently announced a partnership with Google Cloud to create next-generation teaching and learning experiences using artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning models.

This partnership offers the opportunity to transform learning at schools and workforces worldwide through machine learning and predictive analytics solutions.

With 20 years of experience in digital education, LearningMate has worked with schools, higher ed institutions, EdTech companies, governments, nonprofits, and corporations across the globe to deliver 21st-century teaching and learning experiences.

LearningMate’s success lies in its passion for continually enhancing the traditional on-campus experience with innovative online education experiences that are fluid, personalised, and accessible from any device, anywhere.

The partnership brings together the best of Google Cloud’s AI and LearningMate’s market-leading content management platform, Frost, that will feed machine learning models. Leveraging Frost will create data-driven interventions to scale individualised learning.

As part of Google Cloud’s Student Success Services, this partnership is the latest offering in personalised learning. Students will benefit from personalisation based on their learning experience, active, experiential learning reinforcing their learning through practice, universal access for students worldwide, rapid response answers to their questions using the existing knowledge base. For tutors, it provides learning analytics and content recommendations to augment their teaching and content. In addition, it helps them make decisions on how they should approach the content with the students they have in their class.

“The focus of AI in learning, thus far, has been on automating assessment and grading systems and, in some cases suggesting specific learning interventions for individual learners,” says Nachiket Paratkar, SVP & Business Unit Head of Higher Education at LearningMate.

“With this partnership, LearningMate is leveraging the power of Google Cloud’s AI platform along with LearningMate’s segment-leading Frost, a learning object repository and learning outcomes management platform. This combination creates both an unprecedented view of student success and a content recommendation engine that establishes a new benchmark for effective learner guidance.” Together, these technology stacks offer an opportunity to combine modern research into how humans learn with 20 years of understanding how digital interactions can improve the learning experience.

“AI and data analytics can help educational institutions and training organizations bring enhanced learning opportunities to students directly and immediately,” said Steven Butschi, Head of Education, Google Cloud. “Together with LearningMate, we are excited to support educators with the technologies and solutions they need to bring new opportunities to millions of learners around the globe.”

LearningMate invites leaders from education communities worldwide to reach out and learn how we can meet the learning challenges of our time and move the needle together.
